This position is about representing Nova Bank to our customers, community, and internal partners. Universal Bankers will be trained to do a variety of functions within the bank including opening new accounts, processing customer transactions, servicing customer needs, and assisting with internal operational duties. The position requires professionalism, in-depth knowledge of the bank’s products, services, and systems. Be willing to assist less experienced team members and show leadership. Be willing and able to take on a task and see it through to completion with minimal oversight and instructions. Must be able to represent the bank in community through civic involvement and be comfortable visiting a client’s site.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Three or more years of retail banking experience as a customer service representative, teller, or operations specialist.
- Experience with Jack Henry systems preferred.
- Pass a background check.

Operations
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in entering the banking profession. This position is primarily focused on serving the operational needs of Nova Bank although some customer contact will be involved. Universal Bankers will be trained to do a variety of functions within the bank including reconciling general ledger accounts, transaction audits, opening new accounts, processing customer transactions, servicing customer needs, and assisting with internal operational duties as needed. The position requires professionalism, in-depth knowledge of the bank’s systems, processes, and procedures. Applicant should be willing and able to take on a task and see it through to completion with minimal oversight and instructions. Part of the duties will require filling in for and assisting Universal Bankers that are more customer-facing although primarily this is an operational back-office position. Excellent benefits.

Branch Manager
This position requires the employee to be a leader of a staff and responsible for achieving production in a dynamic environment. Nova Bank is a start-up. As a result, many of the bank’s processes and systems will be evolving and subject to change with little notice. The Branch Manager will manage their direct reports and must have the soft touch and communication skills to do so. This is an officer level position that requires knowledge of lending laws, underwriting of consumer and small business credit transactions, the ability to make credit determinations, and be accountable for production goals for loans, deposits, and noninterest income. The individual will have lending authority commensurate with their experience and must be prepared to be accountable for the monitoring and maintenance of a portfolio.
The position requires above average abilities to provide customer service to ensure a stellar level of customer satisfaction. The individual must be well organized and purposeful in their actions. The position requires a strong knowledge of banking, the bank’s products and services, and the ability act independently. As a leader, you will coach, motivate, and develop a team of retail bankers to achieve their full potential and meet business objectives. The Branch Manager is expected to be civically active and represent the bank in the community. Minimum Requirements
- Four-year degree.
- Business degree preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of accounting, general ledger maintenance, and audit procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Prior community banking and lending experience preferred.
- Be a current resident of the Huntsville metropolitan area.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
